6 Mindsets of Game Changers by Robin Sharma

Recently, I’ve attended “A Webinar for Game Changers“, by Robin Sharma. For those who do not know who Robin Sharma is, he is a Canadian Writer and Leadership speaker. He is the writer of famous life changing books such as The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, Who Will Cry When You Die? among others. You can google and find out more about him.

Just a few days back, he has introduced a webinar, on his website, called “Webinar for Game Changers”. The webinar was all about how to think like a Game Changer? How to do things like a game changer? How to behave like a Game Changer? How to lead (not live) your entire life like a Game Changer? Here are a few takeaways from the webinar.

Robin Sharma introduced us to the 6 Mindsets of a Game Changer through which has given the 6 simple but effective ways to think, act and be a Game Changer. So, here we go.

1. Best In the World

Long story short, this is all about holding yourself as the Best In the World. Do not go small on yourself. You must consider yourself as the best in the world in whatever you do . Only then will you gain confidence on whatever you do. Only then will you have the potential to be a Game Changer. Look at the great leaders of history and present. While starting their journey towards greatness, they’ve decided to be best in the world in their work. Even if you are a street sweeper, be the street sweeper that the world has never seen before and will never see thereafter. To do this, first you need to Come out of your comfort zone.

“Be a Human the world has never seen before.”

2. Obsessive Attention to Details

A chef at a five star hotel, while and beafter cooking the dishes, looks into each and every detail about what’s going into the dish, how the dish turns out to be and how to decorate the dish once its made. If you are an event manager or a host of a ceremony, pay attention and get obsessed with those little details that’ll make the ceremony an awesome one. Similarly, in your life you might want to include many little details so that you get delighted by looking at them. These little details must be done with great love, done with consistency.

“Find success in big things, find happiness in little details.”

3. Total Craft Mastery

Don’t just see your job as a job. Look at your job as an opportunity to bring out the most out of yourself. Go through the limits of your work and become the master of your field. Imagine a great sword maker who spends a lot of time, a good part of his life into making swords with great precision. If you ask him, how you have become great, he would say – if your sword doesn’t look great, then you have added zero work to that. If you ask me, “how can I become a master in my field?”, the best answer would be “Star now”, because “Every Master was once a beginner”. And to become a master, you should never give up.

“Every Master Was Once a Beginner.”

4. Always Be Daring

The average people who account to 95% of all, live an easy life. Don’t live an easy live. Go to places which terrify you, for, there lies your actual growth. If you working somewhere, don’t just take up simple projects, take difficult projects and also deliver them. The seduction of an easy life is dangerous and brutal than illusion of daring life. The risky world scares you not to go there and hence you must go there.

“Live a risky life be brave but don’t be stupid.”

5. Lead By Example

Don’t wait for your friends to change so that you can change. Don’t wait for the world to change. Be the change you want to see in the world, in your community and in your industry. Because you don’t see the world as it is, you see the world as you want it to be. Hence, also be the change you want and be a example to others who want to change. You do not need to be anybody. You should become that someday who brought a change.

“Be the change you want to see in the world, not the change others want to see in you.”

6. Always Be Delivering Outrageous Value

Give your customers a little more value. Give your loved ones a little more love. Give your loved ones all of your heart. Because if you do not give more, you will not get more. If you take more, you get less. Giving gives you more. Be so generous even to your enemy that he forgets the enmity and be grateful to you. If you have nothing to give, then you have to go beyond finishing line, and find that something that you can give.

“Giving gives you more.”

You need to cultivate all these 6 mindsets of Game Changers to be a successful game changer.

Share these mindsets to as many people as possible so that they come out of the 95% average and enter 5% game changers.

Note: All these mindsets were given by Robin Sharma, but we’ve described a little more to add more value to it.
